First let me compliment

and the 'otter' you saw, most
probably was a 'ragondin' (what we call a
beaver-rat' in Holland)

Thanks for the
coypus link Gregor, very interesting. As we cross the
bridge most nights to get to the bar we should have plenty of
opportunities to spot it again and confirm whether it is indeed a
coypus.
